Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Project Controls - Senior Cost Engineer to deliver technical and analytical support for cost engineering and financial-control functions across multiple projects. You will maintain cost integrity, forecast, and report costs, coordinating with project leadership and controls personnel to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related discipline with extensive cost-control experience.
• Experience with construction contracts, cost structures, Schedule of Values and change management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project budgets, commitments, costs, accruals, forecasts and EACs.
• Track cost performance across multiple projects and funding sources.
• Identify variances and communicate financial impacts to leadership.
• Support contractor payment apps, SOV reviews, and cost-compliance requirements.
• Review invoices and ensure alignment with contracts and documentation.
• Maintain cost records, reports, change logs, and commitment registers.
• Apply EVMS principles to assess cost performance and forecast accuracy.
• Prepare weekly/monthly cost reports, dashboards and presentations for management.
