Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Project Controller to join our team at our nickel refinery plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, with experience in supporting project controls activities, including planning, scheduling, cost control, and risk management for industrial projects. This role requires a deep understanding of project controls principles and the ability to work in a refinery setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
  2. Work across multidisciplinary teams to develop and maintain scheduling in Microsoft Projects, Primavera P6, or similar software.
  3. Support the monitoring of project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any deviations from the plan.
  4. Assist in the preparation and review of project cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
  5. Implement and maintain project control systems and tools to track project performance.
  6. Conduct risk assessments and support the development of mitigation plans to address potential project risks.
  7. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project execution.
  8. Prepare and present project status reports to management and stakeholders.
  9. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry-specific standards.
  10. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in project controls.
  11. Provide technical support to project controls specialists and other team members.
  12. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices relevant to project controls.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in project controls, with a focus on industrial projects.
  3. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
  4. Strong knowledge of project management principles, cost control, and risk management.
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  7. Commitment to safety and sustainability.

The pay range for this role is:

90,000 - 155,000 USD per year (Remote - United States)
