Job summary

Redpath Mining Inc. is seeking a Sr. Project Controller to support planning and performance monitoring on mining projects. You will implement project controls processes, interpret contracts, track performance daily, weekly and monthly, and define physical and economic project performance to guide management decisions.

The role requires coordinating baselines, administration of contracts, cost and schedule control, and producing management reports that drive a profit-focused culture on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a related scientific, engineering or business field
• Preferred concentration in quantity surveying, cost estimating or mining; additional qualifications in project management, contract administration, cost & schedule control are assets
• 5-7 years of field and/or office-based roles in project controls, project management, commercial, mining, civil/industrial construction or financial reporting

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental guidelines
• Assist in tender document compilation for mining construction projects
• Develop project controls baselines and execution plans
• Support project administration setup including timekeeping and reporting
• Facilitate Change Management and integration with policies, contracts and financial systems
• Track project costs and schedules using Hard Dollar, Primavera and/or MS Project and Oracle
• Maintain earned value management systems
• Prepare management information reports with physical and financial data to drive profitability
• Analyze trends and advise on policy, schedule, costs and risks
• Analyze construction change orders and claims
• Prepare close-out reports and maintain historical costs
