Job summary

Redpath Mining seeks a Sr. Project Controller to support planning and performance monitoring on a project or portfolio of mining projects, implementing project controls processes, interpreting contracts, and providing data-driven input to operational managers.

The candidate should have 5–7 years in project controls or related fields, a Bachelor’s in a relevant field, and experience with InEight and Primavera; role requires overtime, safety compliance and strong collaboration with teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a related scientific, engineering or business field.
• Preferred concentration in business or engineering in quantity survey, cost estimating or mining.
• Additional qualifications/certifications in project management, contract administration, cost & schedule control are assets.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all functions comply with health, safety and environmental guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Support compiling tender documents for mining construction projects, including bills of quantities, general conditions and special conditions.
• Develop controls baselines for projects and assist management with project execution plans and control procedures.
• Assist with setup and administration of new projects (timekeeping, reporting, chart of accounts, document management).
• Facilitate Change Management and integration with company policies, contracts and financial system.
• Track project costs and schedules using Hard Dollar, Primavera and/or MS Projects and Oracle.
• Maintain earned value management systems and prepare management information reports.
• Maintain code of accounts and ensure proper project meetings are conducted.
