Job summary

Rising Edge Group in Denver seeks a Project Controller to drive cost control and forecasting across our electrical infrastructure projects. You will partner with project management and field teams to ensure accurate financial data, timely reporting, and robust risk mitigation from kickoff to closeout.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in project controls, cost control, or construction finance.
• Experience in high-voltage electrical construction or renewable energy is a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel with structured templates and analysis.
• Strong organization and ability to meet weekly deadlines across multiple projects.
• Clear communication with Project Managers, field teams, procurement, and accounting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate project cost data: budgets, costs to date, commitments, variances, forecasts, and cash flow.
• Develop and maintain cost reports, forecasts, ETC forecasts, and variance analysis with clear commentary.
• Lead the monthly project forecast cycle, coordinating inputs and presenting executive-level forecasts.
• Produce consolidated project financial reporting: milestone summaries, incurred costs, accruals, variances, and performance metrics.
• Collect and validate field progress to support reporting on productivity, earned progress, and cost impacts.
• Support change management by tracking change orders, budget impacts, and subcontractor changes.
• Support contracts and commercial activities: invoicing requirements, pay applications, compliance docs, and project setup.
• Ensure project systems align with contract structure, WBS, cost codes, budgets, and forecasting.
• Identify project risks and cost exposures with PMs, and outline mitigation actions and schedule impacts.
• Review and approve timesheets, resolve cost allocation issues, and support continuous improvement.
