Peraton, a leading national security company, seeks a Project Control Specialist to join our team at the USPS Central Repair Facility in Topeka, KS. The role supports program management and coordinates schedules, budgets, and reporting across project teams and management.

Key duties include monitoring progress, resolving issues to meet productivity and quality goals, maintaining milestone timelines, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years experience, master's with 3 years, or high school diploma with 9+ years.
• US Citizenship; ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• Experience in project management and planning.
• Ability to balance and prioritize deadlines.
• Strong People Leadership Characteristics.
• Effective communication in writing and speaking.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).

Responsibilities

• Review status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
• Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress, for intervention, and problem solving with project managers, line manager, and customer goals.
• Tracks and reports the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between management and project planning efforts.
• Reviews status of projects, manages schedules, and prepares status reports.
• Assesses project issues and provides information to responsible parties to meet productivity, quality, and client satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress including milestones within a projected time line.
• Notifies appropriate personnel when time line issues occur. Extensive experience with Microsoft Project software is required.
• Extensive contacts with internal personnel and outside customer representatives at various management levels concerning operations or scheduling or specific phases of projects or contracts.
• Conducts briefings and participates in technical meetings for internal or external representatives concerning specifics operations.
• Performs other related tasks as assigned.
