Job summary

Hargrove in Houston seeks a seasoned procurement professional to lead procurement for heavy industrial projects. You will develop procurement plans, issue RFQs, evaluate proposals, negotiate terms, and award PO(s).

You will mentor junior staff and build strategic sourcing agreements while ensuring timely delivery and regulatory compliance. CPSM preferred, bachelor or master degree highly valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in related field from an accredited university is highly preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant industrial experience in Supply Chain Management, specifically in Project Procurement.
• Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement plans for the acquisition of goods and services in support of various projects.
• Submit RFQs and evaluate commercial proposals.
• Negotiate terms and conditions and award purchase orders.
• Mentor less experienced procurement staff.

What You'll Be Doing

Job Scope: Generally responsible for developing bid packages, submitting Request for Quote (RFQ), evaluating commercial proposals, negotiating terms and conditions, and awarding purchase orders. Responsibilities could also include expediting of vendor data and equipment in support of various projects.

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Familiarity with and utilization of department
• Familiarity with the execution of heavy industrial projects including chemical, refining, pulp and paper, power, and manufacturing.
• Interpreting project scopes, statements of work and project
• Developing procurement plans for the acquisition of goods and services in support of various
• Mentoring less experienced Procurement
• Developing strategic sourcing agreements

Ideal Background

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor or Master of Science degree in related field from an accredited university is highly preferred.

Certification: Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) is highly preferred.
