Job summary

Association for Energy Affordability (AEA) is hiring a Project Associate to join our Bay Area team, with a requirement to be in our Emeryville office one day per week and travel within California as needed. The role focuses on energy audits, modeling, and managing retrofit projects for multifamily and commercial buildings.

You will work with senior staff on project and program level analyses, contribute to energy efficiency and decarbonization efforts, and support training and field data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, building science, or energy conservation preferred.
• One year of prior experience in a related role.
• Excellent communication, organization, presentation, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct energy audits and in-field assessments.
• Perform energy modeling and building simulations.
• Prepare energy and green building assessment reports with cost & emissions analysis.
• Coordinate with building owners and architects to implement energy upgrades.
• Perform LEED, Green Point Rated and HERS consulting.
• Conduct commissioning and retro-commissioning studies.
• Provide training on energy efficiency technologies and decarbonized building operations.
