Job summary

Veregy, an award-winning decarbonization company, seeks a Senior Project Developer in Oakland, CA to manage energy efficiency project development. You will perform energy audits, design energy measures, negotiate subcontractor costs, and support sales from initial audit through commissioning.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering teams, budgeting, and ensuring projects meet timelines and regulatory requirements. Travel ~20% within California is required.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3 years of experience in project development is required.
• 2 years of Energy Engineering experience is desired; software tools listed above preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage development of energy efficiency projects for Veregy sales teams.
• Conduct energy audits, energy conservation measures design, and subcontractor cost negotiations.
• Support sales with scheduling and provide budgeting oversight for projects.
• Collaborate with engineering to identify energy savings strategies and sustainable design.
• Lead design/ construction issues related to energy engineering and management.
• Prepare project reports and energy analyses; ensure compliance with specs and standards.
• Coordinate with customers, utilities, and internal teams throughout the project life cycle.
