Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of the design process to meet firm and project goals and standards.
  • Respond to technical implications, design decisions and project financial goals.
  • Lead and participate in project documentation development and deliverables.
  • Oversee Quality Control reviews for conformance with standards and design intent.
  • Direct project Quality Assurance and adherence to Perkins&Will standards.
  • Coordinate effectively among internal disciplines and external consultants.
  • Communicate with clients on project technical matters.
  • Oversee regulatory reviews and coordination with authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Ensure efficiency of construction contract administration responsibilities.

As a Senior Project Architect on the Perkins&Will team, your skills and passion will come to life through the following responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading all phases of the design process with a high level of proficiency and expertise while adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design, project management, execution and living design.
  • Understand and respond to technical implications, design decisions and project financial goals.
  • Lead and participate in project documentation development and the production of deliverable drawings and specifications.
  • Oversee and manage Quality Control reviews at each phase for conformance with firm standards, contractual obligations and project design intent, with a focus on quality, accuracy, legibility, completeness and constructibility.
  • Direct project Quality Assurance efforts and responsible for adherence with Perkins&Will standards.
  • Accountable for effective project coordination efforts among internal disciplines (architecture, interior design, landscape architecture) and with external consultants.
  • Communicate with clients related to project technical matters.
  • Oversee project regulatory reviews (building code, accessibility, zoning) and coordination with, and submission to, authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Ensure effective and efficient of team performance of construction contract administration responsibilities.
  • Maintain awareness of evolving building technology and engineering systems relevant to project work.
  • Contribute to project marketing pursuits, proposal preparation and interviews.
  • Lead collaborative teams in design reviews, charettes and pin-ups.
  • Demonstrate strong and effective communication, decision making and collaboration, which inspires high team performance.
  • Mentor staff and provide oversight of assignments.
