Job summary

AECOM is seeking a talented Senior Project Architect for immediate employment in Seattle, WA. You will guide design teams and manage projects from concept through construction, balancing technical leadership with client coordination in the public transit sector.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and technical skills, with extensive BIM proficiency and experience leading mid- to large-scale projects in a collaborative design process.

Qualifications

• Accredited bachelor’s degree in architecture with a licensed architect status.
• 6+ years of experience at an architectural firm or related field.
• Strong technical skills in planning, architectural design and detailing.
• Experience coordinating work with civil, landscape and MEPS disciplines.
• Public transit project experience is strongly desirable.
• Proven project management skills with understanding of schedules, budgets and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams of architects, designers and engineers through design phases.
• Develop and issue contract documents across SD, DD and CD stages.
• Coordinate design reviews with clients, project managers and municipal agencies.
• Provide architectural leadership on complex projects and ensure quality control.
• Manage multiple projects, budgets and schedules to meet client needs.
• Stay current with design software and BIM platforms (Revit, BIM360, SketchUp, Rhino).
