Harley Ellis Devereaux (HED) is seeking an experienced architect to join its Mission Critical team, delivering data center projects for US-based and international clients. The role emphasizes leadership, client coordination, and integrated design across disciplines.

The ideal candidate brings eight+ years in A/E, Revit proficiency, and a commitment to sustainable, resilient design within a growing firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and licensure required.
• LEED Accredited preferred, with a passion for sustainable and resilient design.
• Minimum eight years' experience in the A/E industry required.
• Three or more years of experience with Data Center projects.
• Extensive knowledge of all aspects of professional services from schematic design through project close-out.
• Good written and verbal communication skills as well as strong organizational skills.
• Possess the ability to motivate and mentor staff and delegate work assignments.
• Proficient in Revit.
• Willingness and ability to work with remote team members using video conferencing and other tools.
• Very detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible.
• Ability to work well with others under deadline situations

Responsibilities

• Lead and engage with a diverse project team including client, developers, authorities, architects, and engineers.
• Oversee site entitlements and building design approvals process.
• Develop and monitor project scope and fees in collaboration with the Project Manager and Principal in Charge.
• Act as team leader on large, complex, integrated architecture and engineering projects.
• Communicate with sophisticated client teams and stakeholders.
• Prepare and document code research; conduct material and product research as required.
• Develop/edit project specifications in RIB SpecLink.
• Attend project meetings and document reviews during bidding and construction administration.
