Job summary

Farnsworth Group, Inc. in Atlanta is seeking a highly motivated Project Architect to help grow life science, municipal, commercial, and higher education markets.

You will market and manage multi-disciplinary teams across architecture, MEP, and commissioning, while expanding the firm’s national resources. You will lead design processes, coordinate deliverables, support client relationships, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Architecture, from an accredited program, required; Masters preferred
  • Registered Architect strongly preferred (NCARB preferred, but not required)
  • 10+ years of work experience in architectural design and planning within core markets
  • Demonstrated project management and supervisory experience
  • Success in developing new clients and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Proficient use of Revit a plus.
  • Experience with SketchUp, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office preferred
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent organization, coordination, leadership, team-building and managerial skills
  • Experience with Building Envelope Commissioning, ASTM envelope testing methods, and/or existing building water entry troubleshooting is plus.

Responsibilities

  • Understand all aspects of the design process and project complexities to contribute to success
  • Coordinate project documentation development and production of deliverables
  • Lead multi-disciplinary coordination and external consultant collaboration
  • Manage project Quality Assurance and adherence with firm standards
  • Maintain client communications on technical matters
  • Administer regulatory reviews and coordinate with authorities
  • Lead construction contract administration activities and responses
  • Stay current with building technology and engineering systems
  • Contribute to project marketing pursuits and interviews
  • Mentor junior staff and provide day-to-day guidance
