Job summary

Perkins&Will in Houston is seeking a Project Architect with 10+ years of experience to lead the technical development of design and construction documentation. You will collaborate with teams, manage project documentation, and ensure successful execution from schematic design through construction administration.

The role requires a professional architecture degree, licensure, and strong Revit and 3D modeling skills.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture or related discipline.
• 10+ years of project experience including healthcare and/or science & technology.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling and Revit.
• Ability to direct and coordinate work of junior staff.
• Experience in all phases and aspects of a project.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical development of projects and ensure design and construction documentation are executed effectively.
• Direct and coordinate production of schematic, design development and construction documents with Project Manager.
• Perform construction administration duties (e.g., RFI’s, RFP’s, change orders).
• Execute applicable agency review analyses (accessibility, zoning, life-safety).
• Establish budget, task schedule, and work plan with Project Manager.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with engineers and consultants.
• Lead presentations to prospective clients and participate in marketing efforts.
• Utilize Revit and other design software to deliver precise documentation.
