Job summary

Henning Larsen's New York office is seeking a Project Architect with deep design documentation experience, including enclosure detailing expertise, consultant coordination, and execution. This role is intended for licensed architects with 10+ years of relevant professional experience who demonstrate advanced technical proficiency in all phases of design and strong leadership and mentorship capability.

The position requires full-time, on-site work in New York, NY, with strong Revit and BIM skills

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of relevant professional experience in architectural practice.
• Licensed Architect (required).
• Bachelors or Masters of Architecture from a NAAB accredited school.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design and document implementation to meet project goals and compliance requirements.
• Develop compliant design solutions aligned with project requirements.
• Manage / delegate sheet set to ensure comprehensive project documentation.
• Generate DD/CD-level façade details and models that meet code, performance, and constructability requirements.
• Provide code leadership across the project.
• BIM point person for design team and coordinates BIM standards / execution plan where required.
• Select and develop primary building materials appropriate to the design intent and performance requirements.
• Construction administration through submittal / RFI reviews, field reports, walkthroughs, punchlisting as required.
• Lead project delivery for complex projects with façade integration, technical execution, and drawing production.
• Mentor and guide junior team members in façade modeling, detailing, and documentation standards.
• Lead consultant coordination and communicate key decisions across disciplines.
• Sustainability ambassador, coordinating that sustainability goals are considered in day-to-day design.
