Job summary

Cedar seeks a Senior Project Architect in Austin to lead 1–3 residential projects from concept through construction administration, coordinating with Cedar designers, engineers, and consultants. You will mentor junior staff, guide codes and best practices, and help shape Cedar's product catalog software as it evolves over the first 18 months.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in an architectural office.
• 6+ years in a project architect or job captain role, running the day-to-day of architectural projects.
• 4+ years in the residential architecture sector is required. Multi-family experience preferred.
• Education: 5-year BArch or MArch degree (preferred).
• Proficiency in design and documentation software (Revit, Autocad, Rhino, Enscape, Bluebeam).

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day execution of one to three residential projects concurrently.
• Gather project data from key stakeholders and manage this data throughout the life of a project.
• Produce and oversee project models, presentations, and documentation through key milestones.
• Lead some projects with 1-2 more junior staff under your direct supervision.
• Curate specifications, product selections, and draw/manage the execution of all details.
• Plan and maintain project schedules and staffing.
• Serve as primary client contact and coordinator for schedules, milestones, and delivery.
