Job summary

HKS, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Architect to lead teams in delivering complex architectural designs in Fort Worth, TX.

You will guide production, coordinate with clients and consultants, and ensure code compliance while maintaining design excellence. Ideal candidates hold an accredited architecture degree, are registered architects, and bring advanced knowledge of sustainable design and building systems.

Qualifications

Accredited professional degree in Architecture.
Architectural Registration required.
Experience with health projects preferred.
Typically 15+ years of experience.
Sustainable design accreditation preferred.
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks and 3D modeling software preferred.
Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp and InDesign preferred.
MS Office Suite proficiency preferred.
Advanced knowledge of sustainability and integrated design guidelines.
Advanced knowledge of building systems, accessibility, QA/QC.
Strong presentation skills and professional communication.
Ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams with diplomacy.

Responsibilities

Leads team and other Project Architects in planning work and developing solutions to technical and design detail problems.
Collaborates with PIC/PM in defining project work plans and managing the production schedule.
Leads creation and modification of complex detailed implementation documents.
Leads development of code analysis and ensures codes and zoning requirements are met.
Supervises document preparation and QA/QC to HKS standards.
Manages technical resolution and coordination for the project.
Writes reports or specifications for assigned project.
Prepares client presentations and presents design concepts and drawings.
Maintains open communication with client and provides project guidance.
Coordinates with PM, clients, agencies, consultants and contractors for approvals and scope changes.
Documents progress during site visits and meetings; attends on-site reviews.
Fosters collaborative relationships and promotes design excellence.
Helps manage budget, schedule compliance and project utilization.
Supports business development and may assist with proposals and marketing interviews.
