Job summary

Improve Group seeks a Project Architect to lead architectural projects from concept to construction administration in a hybrid Albuquerque, NM setting. You will drive design vision, develop complete construction documents, and mentor team members across commercial, DoD/federal engagements.

Travel up to 15% and DoD facility access are expected. You should be a licensed architect or on licensure path, with 7–10 years of experience in commercial design and proficiency in Revit/BIM.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of professional experience as a technical project architect.
• Experience in commercial design across public/bid projects (federal, municipal, K-12, higher ed).
• Licensed architect or on path to licensure.
• Master's degree preferred is a plus.
• Proficiency in Revit and BIM; strong design and technical skills.
• Ability to travel up to 15% and obtain DoD facility access.
• Authorized to work in the US without employer sponsorship; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead project vision and planning; oversee drawings and bid sheets; prepare stamped docs when required.
• Support client engagement and business development; manage stakeholder communications.
• Develop and maintain vendor/partner relationships across the project life cycle.
• Collaborate within design teams; mentor emerging professionals and lead reviews.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and regulatory requirements; manage permit sets.
