Job summary

Gensler in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Project Architect to blend creativity with technical depth, guiding clients and leading design teams on complex commercial and mixed-use projects.

You will convert client needs into concepts, develop documentation, coordinate with engineers and consultants, manage relationships with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with code and permitting requirements.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture, demonstrated with a rigorous portfolio.
• Licensed Architect required.
• 10+ years of architectural experience, with a strong background designing multiple building typologies of varying scale; commercial, educational or mixed use preferred.
• LEED accreditation and experience preferred.
• Revit and Rhino experience required.
• Outstanding knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures.
• Proficient in public-speaking, and in moderating large teams of consultants, contractors, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical design assignments including programming client needs, diagramming, modeling, developing conceptual designs into technical studies, and construction documentation.
• Engage directly with clients to coordinate approvals with stakeholders.
• Manage client, team and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with engineering and specialty consultants.
• Support communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and permitting officials.
• Provide design support and documentation during completion and execution of design concepts.
• Work with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators.
