Job summary

GFF Design seeks a Senior Project Leader/Architect for its Austin Office to drive complex Commercial, Multifamily, and Mixed-Use projects from concept to closeout. You will lead design teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure code compliance and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of experience, Texas license, and proficiency in Forma, Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp. Collaboration with integrated teams and mentoring junior staff are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Active architectural license in Texas, or ability to obtain reciprocity within six months.
• Minimum of 15 years of professional experience, including at least 8 years leading commercial, multifamily, and mixed-use projects.
• Demonstrated experience with high-density, complex urban infill projects.
• Strong knowledge of codes, accessibility, zoning, and construction methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural projects from design through project closeout, ensuring alignment with client goals and standards.
• Collaborate with PIC on fee proposals, schedules, budgets, and resource planning.
• Establish strong client relationships and serve as technical lead throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage budgets, schedules, resources, and overall project delivery.
• Guide multidisciplinary teams including engineers, designers, and consultants.
• Develop and oversee project specifications and sustainability strategies.
