Job Description

Dewberry is currently seeking a Senior Project Architect to join our national Architecture practice. This position is located in Sacramento, CA.

This strategic hire offers an opportunity for the right individual to leverage design and technical skills to support various exciting clients and projects, including Justice, Health & Wellness, Education, Community Facilities, and Commercial Development. The role involves working closely with clients and internal teams, collaborating across our architecture practice, and growing leadership skills.

Responsibilities

How will you do this?

• Work closely with Clients and Project Managers to address individual project needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to conceptualize, design, and produce project documentation.
• Participate in all design phases from concept through construction.
• Manage project budgets, work plans, and schedules throughout all phases.

Required Skills & Experience

We are looking for:

• 7+ years of experience.
• Licensed Architect (or in process).
• Proficiency in Revit, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Google SketchUp.
• Effective communication with teams, clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Collaborative approach to practice.
• Knowledge of code requirements and agency interfacing.
• Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
• Experience managing scope, fees, and project budgets, including reviewing invoices and contracts.
• Ability to manage project team resources and advise on resource and schedule needs.
• Ensure document accuracy and oversee QA/QC processes.

• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and ability to pass background checks.
