Job summary

HITT Contracting in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Associate, Project Accounting to lead construction cost accounting and JDE—driving accuracy in job cost, AR/AP, and subcontractor invoicing. You will monitor budgets, prepare cost reports, and support GMP project accounting for cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes training, process improvement, and close collaboration with Operations to ensure financial integrity and timely reporting for complex projects.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of accounting experience in a construction or project environment.
• Experience with JD Edwards or similar ERP is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Constitute a subject matter expert in construction cost accounting and JDE processes.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, job billings, and cash receipts.
• Monitor budgets, cost codes, and subcontractor costs for GMP projects.
• Prepare monthly close, variance analyses, and project cost reporting.
• Provide project accounting support and training to Ops team.
