Job summary

Roof Technology Partners in Woodstock, GA seeks a Senior Project Accountant to own full-cycle project accounting for a portfolio of commercial roofing and construction projects.

The role partners with the Controller, project managers, and operations leadership to maintain accurate project financials, support forecasting and profitability analysis, identify financial risks, and ensure projects are well-managed from start to closeout.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project or construction accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of work-in-progress (WIP) and percentage-of-completion accounting.
• Ability to independently evaluate project financial performance and communicate issues to leadership.
• CPA or active progress toward CPA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle job cost accounting for multiple projects.
• Prepare and analyze monthly WIP schedules and OC revenue recognition calculations.
• Maintain project ETCs with PMs and operations.
• Review project forecasts for reasonableness and risks.
• Monitor budgets, commitments, and actual costs across the project lifecycle.
• Identify cost variances and communicate findings to leadership.
• Review contracts, change orders, and cost proposals for financial impact.
• Process subcontractor invoices and ensure proper coding to projects.
• Manage and reconcile retainage and related balances.
• Prepare journal entries for month-end and year-end close.
• Support project cash flow forecasting and profitability reporting.
