Job summary

Mobile Communications America, Inc. seeks a Senior Project Accountant to support the Security Division in a hybrid role (2-3 days in office) in Charlotte, NC. The role focuses on project accounting, revenue recognition, and monthly closes with cross-team collaboration.

The ideal candidate has 2-5 years of accounting experience, proficiency in NetSuite/Oracle ERP, and strong analytical and communication skills. Travel is limited to under 10% as required.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with NetSuite/Oracle ERP is preferred.
• Experience with contract revenue recognition and WIP accounting is expected.
• Advanced proficiency in managing ledgers, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Team player with collaborative approach and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly and investigate discrepancies.
• Capture, analyze, forecast revenues, costs, assets, and liabilities for specific projects.
• Prepare projects monthly, quarterly, and annually.
• Review monthly project statements with teams for variances from budget.
• Prepare monthly journal entries for revenues, expenses, accruals and close books.
• Assist with monthly management reports and Flash reporting for projects and consolidated level.
• Support accounts payable to classify costs by project.
• Fully support annual audit with project data reports.
