Job summary

Gilbane is seeking a Senior Project Accountant in the Milwaukee area to support project accounting, financial forecasting, and client/subcontractor coordination. Travel to project sites may be required; office-based with on-site meetings and commuting to Milwaukee metro area.

You will work with project teams to ensure accurate forecasts, cost control, and timely financial closeout while developing team members and contributing to a collaborative, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 6–10 years of experience in project accounting/finance.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage contracts, amendments, insurance, bonds, and project files.
• Review requisitions and lien waivers for accuracy and timeliness.
• Set up and format project forecasts for internal and client reporting.
• Lead monthly project forecast meetings and maintain ETCs for labor/expenses.
• Oversee accounts receivable and payables and project closeout processes.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Coach and mentor junior staff and interns.
