Job summary

Selby Jennings seeks a Senior Project Accountant to manage financials for large construction projects. You will handle job costing, contract billing, budget monitoring, reporting and risk management to ensure accurate performance tracking.

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
5+ years of project accounting experience.
Construction, engineering, contracting, or project-based industry experience preferred.
Strong understanding of project accounting principles.

Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and analyze monthly project billings in accordance with contract requirements.
Monitor project budgets, commitments, and costs to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
Process subcontractor and vendor invoices and assist with owner billings.
Partner with Project Managers and project teams to monitor overall project financial performance.
Participate in project progress meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Prepare monthly financial reports, forecasts, and cost analyses, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
Perform ad hoc financial analyses and reporting as needed. Support, mentor, and provide guidance to junior Project Accounting team members.
