Job summary

Hermanson Company, a leading mechanical construction firm, seeks a Project Accountant to partner with the Finance Team and Project Managers. You will support audits, A/R, cash forecasting, job costing, substantiation, billing, and profitability analysis, ensuring timely, accurate financial closeouts.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of project accounting or finance experience.
• Familiarity with GAAP and ability to read financial statements.
• Understanding of construction industry terms.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate preparation and review of billing information for completeness and adequacy, including GMP substantiation.
• Perform monthly reconciliation and forecasting for GMP contracts.
• Maintain up-to-date contract and billed/substantiated amounts by project.
• Support project audits with documentation and liaison with clients.
• Assist with collection of outstanding accounts receivable.
• Oversee cost reporting and highlight budget overruns to the project team.
• Maintain project cost budgets and change orders in accounting systems.
