The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the tasks with operations associated with project accounting, the month-end close process, transactional processing, and assisting operations with Business Central functionality. The position will reside in the MTI office with a reporting relationship to the Midwest Controller in Chicago.Key Responsibilities:Accounting and Financial Analysis: Lead the month-end close process, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements. Assist in the preparation of the yearly budget and provide insights and analysis to support decision-making. Maintain and enhance internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial data and compliance with company policies and regulations.Project Accounting: Oversee project accounting activities. Work with the sales team, utilizing Business Central to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of project costs, revenues, and profitability, including warranty coordination with clients.Business Central: Be the system expert assisting the sales team with CRM functionality and the accounting functions. Responding to inquiries timely and ensure the data in the system is accurate and complete.Customer and Vendor Invoice Processing: Review, prepare, and process daily invoices and cash receipts, including any applicable sales tax.
