Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Fullerton, CA seeks a Tooling Specialist IV - Progressive Die Technician for 1st Shift to prepare, install and set up large multi-station progressive dies for punch presses.

You will work at our aerospace manufacturing facility with responsibility for die setup, quality checks, and process adjustments. The role requires 4+ years in progressive dies repair or similar experience, strong reading of drawings, and ability to operate measuring tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years related experience in repair and maintenance of progressive dies or equivalent experience in fastener manufacturing.
• Knowledge of tool room equipment including mills, lathes and grinders.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, prints, catalogs and written instructions.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Independently sets up multi-station progressive dies for punch presses.
• Sets up compound and progressive dies for all types of presses as required.
• Reads prints and reworks dies to produce new parts per instructions.
• Uses inspection gauges to verify conformance to specifications and conducts first article checks.
