H2O Innovation is seeking a Senior programmer, automation and controls to join our Ramsey, MN team for a permanent full-time role. The position focuses on programming PLCs and HMIs, analyzing user needs, and designing automated systems, with deployment at client sites and creation of user guides.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in PLC programming software.
• Ability to write clear technical documents.
• Designing user-friendly graphic interfaces.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve problems.
• Thorough understanding of hardware and software upgrade methods for automated systems.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing.
• Competence in planning and executing comprehensive system tests.

Responsibilities

• Program PLCs and HMIs at client sites.
• Analyze user needs and develop programming plans.
• Design automated systems through technical drawings and schematics.

The Day-to-Day

• Program PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and user graphic interfaces (HMI);
• Participate in analyzing user needs and developing programming plans;
• Design automated systems through technical drawings and schematics;
• Conduct testing and market deployment of programmed installations at our clients' sites;
• Assist our clients by creating user guides, technical manuals, and other tools to facilitate the understanding of automated systems;
• Perform upgrades and troubleshoot automated systems as needed.
