Job summary

H2O Innovation is seeking a Senior Programmer, Automation and Controls to join the Ramsey, MN team in a permanent full-time role. The position focuses on programming PLCs and HMIs, designing automated systems, and deploying solutions at client sites.

You will analyze user needs, develop programming plans, and contribute to documentation, testing, and upgrades while communicating in English and supporting clients with robust, reliable control systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in PLC programming software.
• Ability to write clear technical documents.
• Skill in designing user-friendly graphic interfaces.
• The ability to diagnose and resolve problems.
• Thorough understanding of hardware and software upgrade methods for automated systems.
• Communication skills.
• Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing.
• Competence in planning and executing comprehensive system tests.

Responsibilities

• Program PLCs and user graphical interfaces (HMI).
• Analyze user needs and develop programming plans.
• Design automated systems through technical drawings and schematics.
• Test and deploy programmed installations at client sites.
• Create user guides, technical manuals and other tools.
• Perform upgrades and troubleshoot automated systems.
