Job summary

UAB is seeking a Program Coordinator II to provide administrative, operational, and fiscal support for multiple research, community engagement, and academic programs.

You will coordinate study startup and ongoing activities, manage schedules and events, monitor budgets and purchasing, and maintain regulatory documentation while ensuring compliance with sponsor and institutional requirements. You will collaborate with investigators, staff, students, community partners, vendors, and participants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and operational activities for multiple research, community engagement, and academic programs. Support Program Director(s) and Principal Investigator(s) with scheduling, calendar management, meeting coordination, travel, and project logistics.
• Coordinate activities across multiple research studies, including study startup, implementation, and closeout; monitor progress and enrollment.
• Prepare newsletters, reports, and program communications; develop training materials and instructional guides.
• Coordinate internal and external meetings, workshops, training sessions, conferences, and community events; manage agendas and minutes.
• Assist with purchasing, procurement, vendor coordination, invoices, and budget documentation.
• Coordinate onboarding, training activities for research staff and volunteers; ensure protocol training.
• Maintain regulatory documentation, consent forms, SOPs, and study files; support regulatory compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support research, education, and community engagement.
