Job summary

SGS Consulting seeks an Operational Readiness Project Manager for a large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing modernization to implement MES and electronic batch records at the Raleigh site. This on-site role collaborates with MTO, QA, QE, Materials Planning, and Manufacturing to design and implement MES functionality.

The role leads meetings, captures minutes, tracks action items, develops risk registers, and drives the team to stay on plan.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership, strategy-focused role; not a mid-level hands-on position.
• Good MES technical basis is helpful but alignment with operational/quality processes is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Operational Readiness Program Manager for daily activities in the LSM modernization project.
• Work with cross-functional matrix teams (MTO, QA, QE, Materials Planning, Manufacturing) on MES design/implementation.
• Lead meetings, capture minutes, track action items, develop risk registers and mitigations, drive adherence to plan.
• Support schedule development and act as a point of contact for routine schedule updates.
• Track operational readiness action items and develop plans; provide monthly status dashboards; no budgetary responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:

• The Operational Readiness Project Manager will provide support to the Operational Readiness Program Manager for assisting in daily activities related to the internal large-scale manufacturing (LSM) modernization project bringing MES and electronic batch record implementation to the site.
• This role will work with a cross-functional matrix team including members from MTO, QA, QE, Materials Planning, Manufacturing among other groups as it relates to interactions with design and implementation of MES functionality.
• This role will be responsible for leading meetings, capturing meeting minutes, identifying and tracking action items, development of risk registers and mitigations and driving the team for adherence to plan.
• This role will provide schedule development support as well and act as a point of contact for routine schedule updates.
• Responsibility for tracking operational readiness action items, development plans to support approach, and providing monthly status dashboards. This role will have no budgetary responsibilities

Skills:

• This position will be based on-site at an operational pharmaceutical facility in Raleigh, NC
• Mon - Fri, standard work weeks and hours with occasional overtime as needed.
• Regular interaction with project teams, contractors, and site operations staff will be required.
• Ability to work in an open office environment with frequent distractions.
• Ability to work within a matrix team is required

Education/Experience:

• Looking for candidates in line with a senior leadership, strategy, directive role and not at a mid-level, day-to-day hands-on working perspective.
• While having a good technical basis in MES system is helpful and desired the individual needs to have just as much experience in the operational, quality, side to assist with mapping business processes, building schedules, setting up performance tracking, and other elements of project management & leading the integration of these with the technical MES side.
