Job summary

Mescada is seeking an experienced PAS‑X Engineer to support a greenfield pharmaceutical MES project near Raleigh, NC. The role partners with IT and Automation to deliver Werum PAS‑X solutions across multiple workstreams and serve as the primary MES contact for global sub‑teams.

You will ensure SOPs are up to date, maintain regulatory compliance, and coordinate with stakeholders to keep timelines and costs on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, CS, automation or related technical field.
• Proven experience with MES, Werum PAS‑X.
• Experience with PLC/SCADA in manufacturing.
• Pharma environment experience is non‑negotiable.
• Strong project collaboration and stakeholder communication.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a global project.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, program, test, and document the PAS‑X MES implementation.
• Lead deployment of PAS‑X system to site and ensure readiness.
• Act as MES SME and primary global liaison for project sub‑teams.
• Maintain SOPs related to MES operations and regulatory compliance.
• Provide regular status updates on progress, risks, and timelines.
• Collaborate with PM, IT, and Automation to meet milestones and deliverables.
• Support system integration with PLC and SCADA when required.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced PAS‑X Engineer to support a greenfield pharmaceutical manufacturing project near Raleigh, North Carolina. The successful candidate will work closely with the IT and Automation teams to deliver MES solutions across multiple workstreams.

This role will serve as the primary MES point of contact for project sub‑teams operating globally, coordinating with both internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure successful system implementation and deployment.

Location & Working Arrangement

5 days per week (Monday – Friday)

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, configuration, programming, testing, and documentation of the PAS‑X MES implementation.
• Lead the deployment of the PAS‑X system to site, ensuring successful installation and operational readiness.
• Act as the MES subject matter expert and main point of contact for global project sub‑teams.
• Ensure timely completion and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to MES operations.
• Maintain compliance with the site Quality Strategy and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
• Provide regular status updates to project stakeholders, including progress, risks, issues, timelines, and resource costs.
• Collaborate closely with Project Management, IT, and Automation teams to ensure project milestones and deliverables are achieved.
• Support system integration with PLC and SCADA systems where required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), particularly Werum PAS‑X.
• Experience with PLC and SCADA systems within manufacturing environments.
• Experience supporting pharmaceutical environments is a non‑negotiable.
• Strong project collaboration and stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a global project environment.
