Job summary

UC San Diego Health Sciences seeks an Assistant Program Manager for Sanford Stem Cell Institute to provide administration and operational support to ISSCOR leadership and Center Scientists, handling research programs, events, and partnerships.

The role requires coordinating confidential NDAs, MTAs, grants, milestone tracking, meeting prep and status reporting across academic and nonprofit partners.

Qualifications

• Seven years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus three years of related experience/training.
• Thorough knowledge of University rules and regulations, processes, protocols and procedures for budget, accounting and fund management, and / or personnel management.
• Knowledge of event planning, basic fundraising processes, risk management planning, website design, accounting and payroll, contracts and grants regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives across technical, higher education, nonprofit and public sectors.
• Prepare executive briefings, stakeholder materials, reports, and support university partnerships and research initiatives.
• Oversee scheduling, travel planning, meetings, and special events for the Center; coordinate calendars and milestones.
• Manage budgets, procurement, travel, expenses and maintain documentation controls.
