Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Commerce, CA seeks a Manager, Program Level 2, to lead the Propulsion portfolio within the Mission Enabling Products (MEP) organization. You will guide program execution, staffing, customer relations, and adherence to EVMS-based cost/schedule controls on-site.

You will manage a matrixed team and drive proposals, contract changes, and risk management while ensuring technical objectives and ethical standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of government contracts experience or master’s with 6 years in project management.
• Minimum 5 years of functional/technical leadership experience.
• Experience leading program tasks on schedule and on cost, as PM, IPT lead, CAM, or similar.
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Interface directly with customer, management, contracts, engineering, and support teams to meet objectives.
• Develop team structures, processes, and frameworks to optimize productivity and foster collaboration.
• Identify, allocate, and manage program resources including workforce planning.
• Lead cross-functional Integrated Program Teams (IPT) to meet cost, schedule, and technical goals.
• Deliver status reports and maintain customer relationships throughout the program life cycle.
