Job summary

Core & Main seeks a Sr Program Manager to oversee related projects, shaping high-level strategy, budgets and cross-team communication for large Smart Utility deliveries. The role aligns project efforts with long-term business goals and serves as the primary contract negotiator for major CNM engagements with municipalities and utilities.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years of age.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and screening.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Public Administration, Project Management, Utility Management, or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred (MBA, Engineering Management, Public Administration, or related discipline).
• PMP, PgMP, CCM, PE, or other relevant professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning: Connect daily work to company goals. Align plans with customer expectations, deliverables and contractual requirements.
• Project Coordination: Interface between customers, internal cross-functional teams, and partners involved in project delivery.
• Resource and Budget Control: Manage funds and tools across projects; develop tools for delivery.
• Risk Management: Address big problems and ensure customer satisfaction and project success.
• Administrative Interface: Lead conflict resolution and change management to meet goals.
• Lead Negotiations: Secure favorable terms and align goals with stakeholders.
• Draft and Review Agreements: Write and negotiate terms and MOUs with compliance.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with city departments, officials, and counsel to align goals.
• Administer and Enforce Contracts: Monitor performance and resolve disputes within contract terms.
