Senior Program Manager of Data & Partnerships

About the Opportunity

Job Summary

Community-Engaged Teaching and Research (CETR) is a part ofEducational Innovation in the Office of the Chancellor and promotesethical experiential learning at Northeastern. The CETR teamsupports service-learning courses, community-engaged research, andvarious experiential learning opportunities aligned with curricularobjectives. Through student leadership programs, facultydevelopment, and community partnership building, CETR facilitatesmeaningful experiences on and off-campus.

While this team frequently contributes to international dialogueson community-engaged practices in higher education, CETR is alsorecognized nationally as a top service-learning program.Service-Learning (S-L) is a form of experiential learning forstudents and a teaching tool for faculty that purposefullyintegrates their academic coursework with service to meet classroomand community goals throughout the semester. Our Community-EngagedTeaching and Research team collaborates with over 60 facultymembers incorporating service or community engagement into 100+courses each year. Some of our signature programs and eventsinclude the S-L Teaching Assistant program, S-L Fellows program,Virtual EXPO, Request for Partnerships process and communitypartner recruitment, faculty development workshops, and more.

Key Responsibilities & Accountability:

1)Strategic Stakeholder Engagement:

• Develop institutional relationships with over 100community-based organizations through multiple mediums (i.e.emails, phone calls, face-to-face).

2) Events and Project Development:

• Plan and support events (semester, annual, and bi-annual) tostrengthen campus and community relationships and align withacademic scholarship.
• Update faculty and community partner training materials andcommunication platforms for CETR programs, ensuring relevantinformation is accessible.
• Work with and provide support to program leadership as theyplan program functions including recruitment events, informationsessions, graduation celebrations, etc.
• Provide administrative oversight on special projects andstrategic initiatives within the CETR team.

3) Project and Operational Implementation:

• Collaborate with the Associate Director to manage day-to-dayoperations and track faculty engagement, community partnerships,student leader participation, and course information.
• Provide administrative oversight for and engagement with anetwork of 75+ faculty and 100+ community partnerships.
• Monitor the CETR shared inbox for inquiries and resourcerequests.
• Streamline processes and enhance efficiency within CETRoperations.

4) Evaluation, Assessment, and Data Analysis:

• Manage and implement evaluation processes for currentprogramming, utilizing data to propose evidence-based programenhancements.
• Collaborate with university analytics teams to align assessmentstrategies with institutional priorities.
• Collect, track, and compile key metrics on programs as directedby Program Directors or other College leadership.
• Lead the organization of our internal databases (ex. Airtable,Excel, Salesforce, etc.)

5) Communications and Campus Collaboration:

• Oversee external (off-campus) communication efforts andcollaborate on internal network storytelling.
• Represent CETR at relevant campus events, collaborate withother community engagement staff and contributing to broader teamgoals.

Minimum Qualifications

This position plays a crucial role in the implementation andmaintenance of CETR programs and operations. Reporting directly to the Associate Director, this role will ensure the effectiveexecution of CETR initiatives and support ethical communityengagement in teaching and research partnerships.

Operationally, we are looking for someone who:

• Holds a bachelor's degree; master's degree preferred.
• Holds 1-5 years of experience in community engagement at ahigher education institution or related organization.
• Has showcased experience in qualitative data methods, programevaluation, and assessment, with backgrounds in thematic coding andsurvey design strongly desired.
• Has showcased experience in quantitative data methods, with abackground in statistical analysis strongly desired.
• Holds foundational skills in managing complex databases (e.g.Airtable), with deep backgrounds in coding languages (in order ofpreference: JavaScript, HTML, and CSS) strongly desired.
• Has showcased experience in managing projects that impactmultiple stakeholders simultaneously; experience in related budgetor finance management a plus.
