Job summary

US Army Corps of Engineers in Galveston, TX seeks a senior leader to serve as Support Branch Chief and Business Operations Director of the Mega Project Division, guiding a multi-billion-dollar, multi-year program.

You will ensure detailed program plans, milestones, and schedules are developed and integrated by the Project Delivery Team, monitor progress, resolve issues, and chair meetings with stakeholders to keep projects aligned with mission goals.

Qualifications

• Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Managing all phases of a construction program/projects, AND Utilizing qualitative and/or quantitative methods for the assessment of a program's effectiveness, AND Advising leadership on project/program execution, funding allocations or objectives.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Support Branch Chief and Business Operations Director of the Mega Project Division (MPD) responsible for assisting in the development, integration, and oversight of a multi-billion-dollar, multi-year program.
• Ensure detailed program plans interlaced with individual project plans, tasks, milestone dates and schedules are completed by the Project Delivery Team (PDT) as assigned.
• Continually monitors progress and resolves issues to ensure that programs/projects are accomplished with the least disruption to workers and mission operations.
• Utilize managerial, program analysis, and management information systems to effectively chair meetings with subject stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of projects into a coherent program.
• Develop performance standards, evaluates performance and plans and rate employees.
• Participate in programming decisions affecting long and short-range courses of action for assigned programs where Civil Works and IIS customers need this support.
• Responsible for managing the efficient and effective coordination and accomplishment of the planning, scope, development, design, construction, and direction of all major projects.
