Our client’s M&A Finance team is a highly visible and impactful group that plays a key role in shaping the company’s inorganic growth and strategic evolution. Reporting to the Director, M&A Finance, the Senior Program Manager, M&A Finance will be a critical leader within the M&A Finance team, supporting the full M&A lifecycle from diligence and transaction planning through close, integration, and post-close value realization.
This role will partner closely with FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, Corporate Development, Legal, HR, IT, business teams, and more Finance and cross-functional teams to assess transactions, support decision-making, and execute finance workstreams across acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will bring strong financial acumen, sound business judgment, strategic perspective, superior business partnering, AI and process excellence mindset, and the ability to lead and simplify cross-functional efforts in a fast-paced environment.
Reporting to the Director, M&A Finance, the Senior Program Manager, M&A Finance will lead and support finance activities across the full M&A lifecycle, from diligence through sign, close, and integration. This role partners across FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, Corporate Development, Legal, HR, IT, business teams, and more to deliver transaction support, finance readiness, and integration execution for Client’s strategic initiatives.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead finance workstreams across the full M&A lifecycle: diligence, deal planning, close readiness, Day 1 execution, and post-close integration
- Lead finance diligence activities including analysis of historical and projected financial performance, operating metrics, cash flow, working capital, and key transaction assumptions
- Review transaction materials and agreements; provide finance input on deal structure, financial risks, and key provisions
- Analyze and negotiate closing considerations: minimum cash, net working capital, funds flow, purchase price adjustments, escrows, holdbacks, and closing mechanics
- Synthesize diligence findings and integration considerations into decision-ready materials for leadership
- Coordinate pre-close planning across core finance functions (R2R, O2C, P2P, FP&A, Treasury, Payroll, Tax) to support Day 1 readiness
- Develop and execute finance integration plans including governance, milestone tracking, executive updates, risk management, and issue resolution
- Partner with acquired company finance teams to transition processes, systems, controls, vendors, bank accounts, and reporting into the operating model
- Support closing and post-close activities: seller deliverable review, finance approvals, onboarding, transition planning, and transaction-related settlements
- Track integration progress, dependencies, and blockers; elevate issues and drive timely resolution
- Partner with FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, Corporate Development, Legal, HR, IT, and business teams to assess risks/opportunities and drive execution planning
- Identify opportunities to improve, standardize, and scale M&A finance processes, tools, templates, and governance

- 9+ years of relevant experience in M&A finance, transaction advisory, strategic finance, corporate finance, FP&A, and/or finance integration
- Demonstrated experience supporting transactions through financial diligence, modeling, close, and post-close integration
- Finance integration lead experience — must have owned workstreams, not merely observed or supported
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to translate complex information into clear recommendations
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders, workstreams, and simultaneous deadlines
- Strong understanding of end-to-end finance processes: R2R, O2C, P2P, FP&A, Treasury, Payroll, Tax
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience preparing materials for senior and executive stakeholders
- Proven ability to drive alignment, manage ambiguity, drive accountability, and deliver results in a matrixed organization
- Strong program and project management skills: planning, milestone tracking, risk management, issue resolution
- High degree of business judgment, attention to detail, and ownership
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field
