Job summary

McKissack & McKissack is seeking a Senior Project Manager II in the Los Angeles area to lead large-scale construction programs and manage complex projects with district-scale impact.

Responsibilities include overseeing OARs, reviewing schedules, managing change orders, and coordinating with design professionals, environmental health and safety, and contract administration. A strong track record in education/public works or large commercial projects is required.

Qualifications

• 20 years of full-time project/construction management experience, incl. 10 years managing large programs >$50M
• Alternate path: 25 years with 20 years managing large programs >$50M
• Preferred BIM, LEED/CHPS and DSA processes
• California architectural/engineering knowledge or CMAA CCM preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide construction oversight to OARs and review project status against schedules
• Resolve complex construction issues, disputes, and disagreements
• Develop, assign, and monitor OAR performance across projects
• Review change orders and assess impact on District timelines and budgets
• Assist with bid and contract planning and environmental health and safety coordination
• Monitor cost control, scheduling, and contract administration
• Coordinate with multiple District branches and departments on program activities
• Resolve disputes and help implement internal policies and procedures
