Job summary

Hobbsnews is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Group Medicare to drive program management, operational excellence, and CMS readiness across Medicare Advantage and Part D initiatives. You will coordinate cross-functional teams and partner with employer groups and internal stakeholders to improve processes and member experiences.

The role emphasizes collaboration, regulatory knowledge, and continuous improvement to strengthen retiree and client services in California and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in program management, project management, operations, or healthcare administration.
• Experience with project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Experience within healthcare, managed care, health plan operations, or Medicare-related business operations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Medicare products, CMS regulations, compliance requirements, and operational processes.
• Experience working on Group Medicare Advantage products strongly preferred.
• Experience working with Employer Group Medicare Advantage and/or Employer Group Prescription Drug Plan (EGWP/GPDP) products preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification (or equivalent) with demonstrated ability to apply structured problem-solving and process optimization techniques strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success driving operational improvement efforts by leading cross-functional teams and coordinating multiple stakeholder groups toward shared business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cross-functional workstreams and drive operational excellence.
• Streamline operational processes and partner with internal teams and external employer groups to elevate efficiency.
• Support CMS readiness, compliance, and quality across Group Medicare offerings.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and measure outcomes to strengthen program performance.
• Collaborate with policymakers, plan sponsors, and field teams to ensure high-quality member and retiree support.
