Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Sr Staff Technical Program Manager to lead the integration of the Hivemind autonomy stack onto next-generation aircraft, guiding programs from concept through production and deployment.

You will coordinate hardware and software teams across global offices, drive schedules, budgets, and risk management, and ensure customer success while advancing autonomous aviation capabilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 9 years with a Master's.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional engineering programs from concept through production and deployment.
• Experience in military aviation.

Responsibilities

• Lead Hivemind Enterprise Delivery: delivery of Hivemind software to Armed Services and OEM customers.
• Drive Hardware & Software Alignment: embed with aircraft engineering teams and align with hardware integration and flight test schedules.
• Establish Clear Objectives: define program objectives tied to mission impact, customer success, and technical performance.
• Program & Project Management: develop integrated plans with scope, schedule, budgets, and resources.
• Drive Timely, High-Quality Decisions: facilitate cross-functional decision-making with technical depth.
• Integration & Flight Test Readiness: coordinate lab, ground test, and flight test activities; drive readiness reviews.
• Communicate with Excellence: maintain status updates and stakeholder alignment.
• Drive Technical Execution: support documentation, engineering change orders, and operational procedures.
• Empower Teams & Remove Obstacles: ensure clarity, tools, and accountability; escalate blockers.
• Deliver Outcomes: track program financials, resources, schedules, and customer deliverables.
• Support Growth & Strategic Initiatives: engage in proposals, RFIs/RFPs, and strategic engagements.
