Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Hivemind Solutions Staff Integration & Flight Test Engineer to lead integration and flight test of Hivemind AI Pilot capabilities on ACP platforms. You will coordinate test readiness, manage risk, and collaborate with internal teams, OEM partners, and government customers to deliver autonomous capabilities at scale.

The role requires 8+ years of flight test experience (or 6+ with a Master’s) in defense aviation, strong leadership, and the ability to obtain a SECRET

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 6+ with a Master's in relevant field.
• Experience planning, conducting, and evaluating flight tests in military/defense aviation.
• Strong safety-of-flight principles and risk management experience.
• Experience with SIL, HIL, simulation, and flight verification environments.
• Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute integration and flight test plans across simulation, SIL, HIL, and flight environments.
• Coordinate readiness of simulation environments, labs, aircraft, and test assets.
• Apply aviation knowledge to develop safe, efficient test plans.
• Define objectives, metrics, and traceability from requirements to test outcomes.
• Lead aircraft integration and flight test activities including data analysis.
• Coordinate with OEMs, government ranges, and flight ops for test readiness.
• Cross-functional execution across software, hardware, systems engineering, safety, and leadership.
• Evaluate results and recommend corrective actions to reduce risk and mature capability.
