Job summary

Amazon’s Worldwide Grocery Stores (WWGS) Central Selection team seeks a Sr Program Manager to lead selection analysis, optimization, banner assortment strategy, and governance across banners. The ideal candidate translates merchandising problems into structured program plans and drives end-to-end accountability for selection health across online and physical banners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program or project management experience.
• Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
• Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
• Experience with selection strategy, category management, or space planning.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with Microsoft Access or SQL.
• 5+ years experience in business roles requiring data analysis, process improvements, creative problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration.
• High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills with ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
• Passionate and knowledgeable about customer behavior.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute location- and format-driven selection strategies using competitor benchmarking, capacity inputs, sales analysis, and market data to inform market-specific selection across banners, both online and physical stores
• Drive automation and leverage AI Tools to simplify processes and improve operational efficiency
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and communicate program updates with internal and external stakeholders, including leadership reviews

• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver results in an ambitious, fast-paced environment, working across many time zones
