Job summary

Northrop Grumman AOX in East Hartford, CT, seeks a dynamic Program Manager for its Special Programs Business Area. Reporting to the Special Programs Execution Manager, you will lead AOX’s partnerships with customers, the U.S.

Government, and defense prime and second-tier contractors. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical background and proven program leadership across cost, schedule, and performance, with experience managing IPTs and delivering complex optical systems in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and eight years of experience in project/task management.
• Experience with Defense/Government contracts.
• Demonstrated experience in formal program leadership roles (e.g., IPT Lead, CAM).
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Costpoint or SAP.
• Ability to navigate systems, enter program data, and obtain performance metrics.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel up to 10% domestically and obtain TS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion.
• Responsible for cost, schedule, and technical performance of programs or subsystems.
• Coordinates preparation of proposals, budgets, and contract terms.
• Acts as primary customer contact for program activities and conducts reviews.
• Communicates program metrics and issues to management.
