Job summary

RELX INC in Raleigh, NC seeks an experienced Program Manager to direct a team of Project Managers and Analysts. You will drive a portfolio of moderate to complex projects, coordinating with Product, Engineering, Testing, Legal, and more to build roadmaps and schedules. Strong governance and SDLC mastery are required.

The role demands extensive leadership, negotiation, and resource-management skills, with focus on delivering on time and within budget in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT PMO experience.
• 2+ years of management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in technology, finance, business, or equivalent experience required.
• Project governance certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, etc.) required.

Responsibilities

• Represent Engineering Project Management in cross-functional teams and operate as an SME in their portfolio.
• Oversee Project Managers with moderate to complex projects.
• Manage and encourage new ideas from staff to foster improvements through innovations.
• Empower the staff to be accountable and responsible for their own actions and decisions.
• Depending on scope and complexity, manage highly complex projects and some moderate projects each year.
• Define key performance parameters and create regular variance reports to track progress.
• Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
