Job summary

Nelnet Business Services (NBS), a division of Nelnet, Inc., seeks a Program Manager II to independently manage a portfolio of multi-department projects and programs. You will collaborate with internal and external partners to clarify requirements, track progress, and resolve issues to deliver successful outcomes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of PM experience, with PMP certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of project management experience.
• PMP certification is preferred.
• Experience with Project Management software.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages the plan surrounding project/program engagements.
• Sets goals and strategies for projects/programs.
• Documents communications, risks, and issues thoroughly.
• Measures project/program performance for improvement.
• Provides status reporting and tailors it to audiences.
• Applies best practices and standards throughout execution.
• Assists in developing workflow, processes, and procedures.
• Mentors new team members.
