Job summary

BD is seeking a Program Manager/Core Team Leader to guide cross-functional teams through the full lifecycle of pharmacy automation products. The role emphasizes milestone-based planning, risk management, budget oversight, and strong leadership across engineering, manufacturing, and commercialization functions.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in program management for complex hardware/software portfolios and an understanding of quality systems and regulatory requirements. On-site in Durham, NC.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related technical field.
• Experience: 8+ years leading complex, multi-year NPD programs in a matrix organization.
• Program Management: Milestone-based planning, risk register, and execution experience.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven ability to lead without direct authority across functions.
• Product Development: Experience managing full lifecycle from inception to post-launch.
• Quality & Regulatory: Understanding of QMS and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional Core Team and Extended Team to drive product development from inception through commercialization.
• Create project work breakdown structures, integrated project plans, and project charters.
• Manage budgets, progress tracking, risks, and mitigation plans.
• Ensure alignment of platform roadmaps with business objectives and market needs.
• Develop governance mechanisms, reviews, and decision gates with stakeholders.
• Communicate program status and outcomes to leadership and cross-functional teams.
