Job summary

BD is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams in delivering complex product development and sustaining engineering projects within the medical device industry.

You will partner with engineering, quality, regulatory, marketing, operations, and external suppliers to define scope, manage plans, budgets, risks, and execution from concept through commercialization, while aligning with portfolio priorities and leadership expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, life sciences, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of project management experience leading cross-functional projects.
• Experience in medical device or regulated industry product development from concept to commercialization.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project and scheduling methodologies.
• Experience with external suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams in planning and executing new product development, sustaining engineering, remediation, and strategic initiatives.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, resource forecasts, and governance documentation.
• Identify, manage, and escalate risks, issues, dependencies, and critical decisions.
• Facilitate team meetings with clear ownership and follow-through on action items.
• Monitor performance against scope, schedule, budget, quality, and objectives.
• Partner with functional leaders to forecast and manage resource requirements across project phases.
• Prepare and deliver project status updates and portfolio reporting for leadership and governance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with BD design control processes, regulatory requirements, quality systems, and documentation standards.
• Collaborate with external suppliers and development partners to manage deliverables and timelines.
• Maintain project information within project management systems, including MS Project, OnePlan, SharePoint, and other portfolio management tools.
• Support the development and execution of risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
• Foster effective collaboration across geographically dispersed teams, including global partners and manufacturing sites.
